Crashes and Freezes

If you're having frequent crashes and freezes, multiple issues may be present. Try to recreate the problem and see if it seemingly occurs at random. Potential reasons could include faulty memory, a corrupted program or operating system, or hard drive reading/writing errors. SDPCM can run a troubleshooting exam to identify the problem, and then resolve it.

Blue Screens

If you get repeated blue screens, write down the error code that Windows gives you. Also try to remember what you were doing when the blue screen appeared. Often a reinstallation of the operating system will resolve this phenomenon, and at SDPCM we can do it while preserving your files.

Folder with Blinking Question Mark

If you're booting up your Mac and you see a folder with a question mark, that's a sign that your computer is having trouble finding the operating system. This can be caused by a number of problems, but most commonly either the system files have become corrupted or the hard drive is failing. We can take care of either problem, but if your hard drive is beginning to go we suggest you cease using it and bring it in for an exam as soon as possible...parts are replaceable; your data is not!

Liquid Spills

Have you spilled something on your laptop? Depending on which components are damaged, SDPCM can often repair your machine for a fraction of what other companies would charge. A thorough disassembly and hardware diagnostic exam means we can provide you a quote before you commit to spending a lot of money. Even if you suspect your machine is completely gone, give us a call and see if it can't be brought back. Even if the machine is irreparably damaged, we can usually recover at least some of the data on the hard drive. We may even be able to clone your hard drive so that your new machine's desktop and applications are just how you left them on your former machine!

Virus, Spyware, and Adware Removal

Do you find your computer is acting strangely? Unusual icons, unexplained changes in your desktop, and prompts to download third party software can all suggest something is amiss. We can eliminate viruses, spyware, and adware, and we can even do it remotely! You won't even need to move your computer, provided you have a functional computer and broadbrand internet connectivity.
